Step off the High Street into Laing’s Bar and sink into the sofas whilst enjoying a cappuccino and a pastry. Their restaurant has an extensive menu and serves food all day, from classic favourites to more indulgent affairs. The hotel has 27 en-suite bedrooms that include stunning romantic 4-poster rooms, all traditionally styled and furnished in keeping with the historic character of this beautiful building. All of the bedrooms are equipped with direct dial telephones, TV, ironing station, hairdryer and generous hospitality tray. The less able of you need not worry about access as the hotel has a lift and is wheelchair friendly. The Kings Head's public rooms all have a light elegant airy feel, reminiscent of its fine heritage with high ceilings and huge windows, squidgy sofas and comfortable armchairs, and on the walls there are many photographs, some over a hundred years old, of the hotel and its development. The friendly host Adam and his smiley helpful team of staff all go that extra mile to ensure your stay with them is something you would want to repeat. From Wimborne, Poole is just a 20 minute drive and Bournemouth just half an hour distant. |

The Langton Arms This 17th century inn sits quietly and unassumingly in the ancient hamlet of Tarrant Monkton and has all the charm and architectural character you would expect from an inn of its fine heritage. Most importantly, this fabulous place is owned and run by Barbara, the extremely talented landlady whose passion, enthusiasm and friendliness sets The Langton Arms apart from many a fine hostelry. The superb accommodation is beautifully presented and punctuated with a smattering of Chelsea House chic against iron bedsteads & stunning bathrooms. The food is varied and of Kensington High Street quality. A fabulous friendly and uniquely pleasing base from which to explore the beautiful Dorset countryside. The Goat House In a very quiet road close to the ancient town of Wimborne is where we found this beautiful, intriguingly named Goat House that provides bed and breakfast. What makes staying here special for us, apart from the beautifully presented bedrooms, fabulous breakfasts and the enthralling gardens, are the two hosts Francis and Stephen who are two of the friendliest and most hospitable people we know.
